ACHIEVEMENT: New residents are provided a 'Welcome to Our City' Kit, which details the services, contacts and exciting things for them to do in the neighbourhood.
| TARGET DATE: September 2006 |
PROGRESS: None to date. |
DESCRIPTION: The New Residents Welcome Kits could be in paper or electronic form and would provide a quick and simple guide to their new neighbourhood. If it were published in pdf form it could be easily done and placed on a prominent spot on the Council website for new residents to download and print. This would keep it cheap, simple and easily updatable.
FURTHER INFORMATION: This idea was prompted by a similar kit that already exists in the Borough of Queenscliffe. The Council website provides a downloadable pdf document that gives new residents simple and concise information about their council and the goings on in the area.
